In today’s Slovenian Cup quarter-final match Artemijus Tutyškinas and injured Armandas Kučys NK Celje eliminated Pijus Širvys’s NK Maribor side with a 1-0 victory.
The 21-year-old Artemijus Tutyškinas was an unused substitute for this match, while for Maribor, Pijus Širvys started the game and played the full 90 minutes.
The only goal of the match came in the 83rd minute, scored by French forward Logan Delaurier-Chaubet.
Celje faces an unrealistic prospect in defending their league title, but they still have a chance at winning the Slovenian Cup. Additionally, they are competing in the UEFA Conference League, where they will meet Serie A side Fiorentina in the quarter-finals.
Before the European games, Tutyškinas’ team will participate in two league matches. The first match on Sunday will be when Celje plays an away game against Bravo. Meanwhile, Širvys and Maribor, currently second in the league table and nine points behind leaders NK Olimpija Ljubljana, will face Domžale away on Sunday.
