FK Tukums 2000 started competing in the Latvian third tier in 2004, where they quickly demonstrated their potential by finishing in 4th place in their first season. In 2005, FK Tukums 2000 moved up to the Latvian second tier but faced tough competition, ending the season in 13th place. Despite this setback, the club remained determined to improve. In 2008, they returned to the second tier and managed to finish in 3rd place.
