Nõmme Kalju FC announced on their social media platforms, that they have signed Kristjan Kask and Uku Kõrre from Pärnu JK Vaprus on two-year contracts, with a chance of an extra year via mutual agreements.
Kristjan Kask was a key player for Vaprus for the past three seasons, claiming the club’s Player Of The Season award in 2022. He joined Vaprus at the start of that year and played in 108 games for the club, scoring 12 goals and assisting another 5.
Kask invites fans to the stadium:
“The coaches and the board have left a very positive impression to me and i’m eagerly waiting for the new season to help the club reach it’s targets. I believe and see, that we have the chance to make something incredible happen. I hope more fans find their way to the stadium and will be beside us supporting the journey!”
Kalju head coach Nikita Andrejev added:
“Kristjan has shown himself as a versatile player for a long time now. I am glad to welcome the player to our team, who is ready to make the next step in his career. I believe that together we can achieve big things. We thank Kristjan for his trust.”
Uku Kõrre started his footballing journey in Pärnu and has played 170 games in the Premium Liiga, in which he has scored 3 goals. In 2023, he was the only outfield player to feature every single minute on the pitch and winning the club’s Player Of The Season award that year. This past season he wore the yellow and black shirt in 30 games, recording 2497 minutes.
Strengthening the Vaprus back line for years, Pärnu has a special place in Kõrre’s heart:
“Kalju have given me a lot of trust and a new opportunity, which I want to take every advantage of. Pärnu will always have a special place in my heart and that is known to everyone. But as an athlete I will focus on my targets and helping my team win. Now I can proudly say, that my team is Nõmme Kalju! I am eagerly waiting for the new season and want to give Kalju my everything, getting good results in Europe and to bring the shiniest set of medals to Nõmme at the end of the season.”
Andrejev added:
