Community leaders and football club executives gathered at the A. Le Coq Arena on Wednesday to review the past season and begin preparations for the upcoming year.

Veiko Soo, head of the Estonian Football Association league development department, summarized the season by stating that the Premium Liiga showed more stability this year than in previous years. “Although we did not achieve our goals for league viewership, we were able to maintain the same level as last season, and we are pleased with that,” he remarked.

Soo expressed satisfaction with the decrease in games that experienced low attendance. He mentioned that efforts are being made to ensure that the Premium Liiga has a minimum of 200 spectators at each game. “It’s fantastic that we had fewer games with fewer than 200 spectators compared to last year, but there’s still work to be done to eliminate this issue,” Soo stated regarding his future goals.

He also acknowledged the clubs’ charity events, which attracted more spectators to the stadium than usual. He highlighted the unique “My Dream Day” match organized by Tallinn Levadia, the Pärnu Valor Charity Foundation event, and the Tartu Tammeka Roosa football event.
