Full calendar of Virslīga 2025 has been released with the opening fixture to take place on Wednesday, 5th of March between FK Auda and the reigning Champions – FC RFS.
The defending champions, FC RFS, will face FK Auda in the opening fixture for a re-run of the start of the previous season, when FK Auda also hosted FC RFS in an hard-fought match in the Mežaparks Sports Village in Riga, ultimately losing 1-2. Riga FC will host newcomers Super Nova the following day, which will also see Grobiņa clash with Jelgava.
Matchday 1 will conclude on Friday, the 7th of March with BFC Daugavpils hosting FK Tukums 2000/TELMS and FK Liepāja hosting FK Metta for what will likely be a chilly seaside experience in the windy city.
The first Big Riga derby will take place on 26th April at the LNK Sporta Parks, whereas the first Liepāja derby will come much sooner – on the 16th of March.
