FK Metta has announced two more departures from the team today: academy graduate Emīls Aizpurietis and Ukrainian winger Oleksandr Kurtsev.
Emīls Aizpurietis, a 20-year-old player, has been with Metta since he was 9 years old. He made his Virslīga debut in 2023 and primarily played for the reserve team in the Latvian second division. Last season marked his first full year with the senior team, during which he made 12 appearances, albeit with limited playing time.
Oleksandr Kurtsev, a 22-year-old winger, joined Metta in 2022 from the Metalist 1925 academy in Ukraine. He debuted in 2023 and has since made 49 league appearances, scoring six goals during his two seasons with the club.
Previously, FK Metta announced that Yevhen Stadnik, Jordan Bender, Lamine Correa, Mikus Vasiļevskis, Daniils Ulimbaševs, and Tomass Zants also have left the team.
