Premium Liiga leaders Levadia continued their dominant march towards the Estonian title with another emphatic victory, putting six unanswered goals past Tammeka at A. Le Coq Arena. Nikoloz Kutateladze scored twice in the 6-0 win, while Wendell, Mihkel Ainsalu, Joao Pedro and Maksimilian Skvortsov also found the net.
Levadia entered the rearranged midweek fixture with 68 points, 16 clear of nearest challengers Flora, while Tammeka were looking to strengthen their push for fourth place. Head coach Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko showed no intention of rotating his leaders, naming a strong starting XI, and the hosts quickly took control.
Mihkel Ainsalu came within inches of opening the scoring after only five minutes, sending an effort narrowly wide following Mark Oliver Roosnupp’s delivery. Tammeka settled into the contest and occasionally found space in wide areas, but Levadia remained firmly in control and eventually made their pressure count midway through the half.
The breakthrough arrived in the 22nd minute after Joseph Saliste intercepted a poor pass from Thomas Lisboa and found Kutateladze near the edge of the penalty area. The Georgian forward produced a superb finish, curling the ball into the top corner beyond the helpless Kristen Lapa.
Eight minutes later it was 2-0. Frank Liivak delivered the ball into the penalty area, where Wendell produced an excellent first touch before finishing from close range. Tammeka attempted to respond, with Robin Robin Müür and Reio Laabus both getting into shooting positions, while Lisboa sent a dangerous ball across goal that Oliver Kangaslahti narrowly failed to reach.
Lapa prevented the deficit from becoming even greater with an excellent save from Wendell, but Levadia found their third shortly afterwards. Kutateladze laid the ball into Ainsalu’s path and the midfielder fired a first-time finish into the roof of the net to send the hosts into half-time with a commanding 3-0 advantage.
Tammeka introduced Tanel Lang at the break and Müür immediately found the side netting from a tight angle, but there was little change to the overall pattern. Levadia continued to dictate possession and added their fourth in the 55th minute when Ainsalu picked out Joao Pedro inside the penalty area. The Brazilian went past Lapa and calmly finished.
With the result effectively settled, both teams turned to their benches, but Levadia’s attacking intensity barely dropped. Kutateladze grabbed his second goal in the 76th minute after receiving Wendell’s pass inside the area, turning his defender and beating Lapa at the near post to make it 5-0.
Even Levadia’s substitutes contributed to the rout. Maksimilian Skvortsov, who had only recently entered the match, completed the scoring in the 83rd minute by heading Geovani’s corner inside the near post for his side’s sixth.
The 6-0 victory further strengthens Levadia’s grip on first place and moves them another step closer to securing the Premium Liiga title. Tammeka, meanwhile, remain fifth after a difficult evening in Tallinn, with their pursuit of fourth-placed Nõmme Kalju suffering a significant setback.
