About the club

The club was founded on May 20, 2000. FK Tukums 2000 started competing in the Latvian third tier in 2004, where they quickly demonstrated their potential by finishing in 4th place in their first season. In 2005, FK Tukums 2000 moved up to the Latvian second tier but faced tough competition, ending the season in 13th place. Despite this setback, the club remained determined to improve. In 2008, they returned to the second tier and managed to finish in 3rd place.

Since their promotion to Virsliga, FK Tukums 2000 has faced both challenges and achievements in the top division. The club has built a reputation for giving opportunities to young players, many of whom come from their local academy. This commitment to youth development is a significant part of their philosophy. Currently, the team has an average age of just 21 years, reflecting their strategy to invest in and nurture young talent for future success.

The club is led by manager Kristaps Dišlers, who has been guiding the team through the ups and downs of the league. The club is chaired by Verners Akimovs, who plays a crucial role in overseeing the club’s operations and future direction.
