Ervīns Pērkons named Imishli interim head coach
Latvian coach Ervīns Pērkons has been appointed interim head coach of Azerbaijani Premier League side Imishli after the club parted company with Farid Namazov by mutual consent.
Photo: Imishli-pfk.com/ Pērkons joined Imishli as an assistant coach this summer and led the team’s training session on Wednesday. The club’s next match is away to fourth-placed Turan on Sunday.
Imishli are 10th in the 12-team league, with four points from seven matches. The 36-year-old previously spent several seasons as head coach of Super Nova and FS Jelgava in Latvia’s Virsliga and worked in Jelgava’s youth system prior to that.
