In the last match of Matchday 4 of the TonyBet Virslīga, FK Tukums 2000 staged a comeback from a goal down but ultimately settled for a 2-2 draw against SK Super Nova. Ingars Pūlis scored both goals for Tukums in today’s match.

Tukums’ manager, Kristaps Dišlers, who was seeking his first win of the season, gave first-time starts to three players: former Riga FC academy players Daniils Putrāns and Maksims Semeško, along with Dāvis Valmiers, a former FS Jelgava player. For Ervīns Pērkons and Super Nova, Andris Deklavs was available for the first time in the starting lineup, while Vladimirs Stepanovs made his first start.

Super Nova took the lead in the middle of the first half when Kristers Čudars’ pass was deflected by a Tukums defender but fell perfectly to Deružinskis, who scored his second goal of the season from a great position.

A few minutes later, Tukums equalized with a right-footed shot from Ingars Pūlis, who found the bottom right corner, leaving goalkeeper Frenks Orols with no chance; the score was 1-1. Just four minutes later, Tukums took the lead! Super Nova midfielder Nakamura’s pass was intercepted by Samoilovs, who made a great pass to Raivis Ķiršs. Ķiršs then set up the running Ingars Pūlis, who scored his second goal of the match. This marked Pūlis first two-goal game in his Virslīga career!

In the second half, Tukums caught the Super Nova defenders off guard on several occasions, but both Bogdans Samoilovs and Ingars Pūlis had their attempts saved by Frenks Orols. Unfortunately for Tukums, a clumsy foul by Raivo Stūriņš on Ruslans Deružinskis led to a penalty kick for Super Nova. Jevgēņijs Miņins converted the penalty, bringing the score back to 2-2.

Both teams failed to score again in the remaining time, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

After four games, Tukums is at the bottom of the league with two points, while SK Super Nova is in seventh place with four points. FK Tukums 2000’s next league match will be on Saturday when they host FK Grobiņa, while SK Super Nova will play an away game against FS Jelgava on the same day.
