Maksims Sidorovs becomes FK Grobiņa’s first winter addition

As per our sources, Latvian left-back Maksims Sidorovs has joined FK Grobiņa on a free transfer from FK Tukums 2000, becoming the club’s first signing of the 2025 winter transfer window. The 23-year-old defender is set to reinforce Grobiņa’s defense as they prepare for the upcoming Latvian Virslīga season with a new ownership.

Sidorovs, born in 2001, has built a solid reputation in Latvian football, featuring in 119 matches across various competitions, including the Virslīga, Latvian Cup, and UEFA Youth League. Sidorovs began his career at Liepāja Football school, progressing to Liepaja II before earning his first senior transfer to FK Tukums 2000 in 2020. He later had spells with Auda and SK Super Nova, gaining valuable experience before rejoining Tukums, where he cemented his place as a consistent performer.

In the 2024 season, Sidorovs played 33 matches in the Virslīga for FK Tukums 2000, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists while maintaining a strong defensive presence. Additionally, he featured 6 times for Tukums II in the Nākotnes Liga.
