Lithuanian A Lyga club FK Sūduva have confirmed that winger Emmanuel Agbor will miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury.

The 22-year-old Cameroonian, who joined Sūduva on loan from Polish side Miedź Legnica, picked up the injury during the club’s recent match against FA Šiauliai. According to the Lithuanian club, Agbor has already undergone surgery, which will rule him out for the remainder of the Lithuanian championship season.

Agbor started both of Sūduva’s opening league matches this season but was forced off in the 49th minute of the game against Šiauliai after an awkward challenge in which his knee twisted. The winger was unable to leave the pitch on his own and had to be carried off on a stretcher.

Sūduva have opened their campaign with two goalless draws and will be hoping to secure their first goal and first victory of the season in their next match on home soil against FK TransInvest.
