Virslīga champions Riga FC have announced the signing of 22-year-old Dutch midfielder Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand, who developed within the youth systems of Feyenoord and Arsenal.

Oulad M’Hand, who is also of Moroccan descent, joined Arsenal’s academy in the summer of 2020 after progressing through Feyenoord’s youth setup. Last season, he was a regular for Arsenal U21, recording six goals and seven assists in 20 appearances.

Although he did not make an official first-team debut, the midfielder was named in Arsenal’s matchday squads on several occasions, including twice in the UEFA Champions League and once in the Premier League last season.

Two seasons ago Oulad M’Hand spent on loan with FC Den Bosch in the Dutch second division, where he gained his first senior experience, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 19 matches.

In recent weeks, Oulad M’Hand had been training with Riga FC during the club’s preseason training camp in Dubai. After working closely with the squad and coaching staff throughout the camp, the Latvian champions moved to secure his signature, making him the club’s fifth addition of the offseason as they continue preparations for the new season.
