Žalgiris Vilnius have confirmed that goalkeeper Arpád Tordai has left the club following the expiration of his contract.

The 28-year-old Romanian spent two seasons in Vilnius, making 49 appearances across all competitions and recording 19 clean sheets. He began last season as Žalgiris’ first-choice goalkeeper, but after 10 league matches he lost his place and did not make another appearance, finishing the campaign behind Venezuelan goalkeeper Carlos Olses.

Despite his reduced role later in the season, Tordai played an important part in the club’s recent success. He was named Man of the Match in the LFF Super Cup final and was a key member of the squad that lifted the Lithuanian A Lyga title in 2024. His performances during that championship-winning season also earned him a place in the A Lyga Best XI.
