Lithuanian A Lyga side FK Sūduva has announced the signing of Lithuanian international midfielder Titas Milašius, who returns to his homeland after spending nine years in Poland.
The 24-year-old began his youth career at Vilnius FM and NFA, before moving to Poland at the age of 15 to join the Escola Varsovia Academy. Over nearly a decade abroad, Milašius managed the rare feat of appearing in all four tiers of Polish football.
His lone top-flight appearance came in the 2019/20 season with Wisła Płock in the Ekstraklasa. Milašius later represented clubs such as Skra Częstochowa, Podbeskidzie, and most recently spent one and a half seasons at Pogoń Siedlce in Poland’s second division, where he featured in 24 league matches last term, contributing two goals and an assist.
A key factor in his decision to join Sūduva was the presence of head coach Donatas Vencevičius, with whom Milašius previously worked at Podbeskidzie.
“The coach himself called me and asked about my situation. We talked, made plans, and I decided to join Sūduva to help the team,” said Milašius.
On the international stage, Milašius has been capped 11 times for Lithuania, most recently appearing as a substitute against Denmark in June.
Currently, Sūduva sit third in the A Lyga table with 45 points. After the international break, they return to action tomorrow with a key home clash against FK Panevėžys.
