Latvian international Lūkass Vapne played the full 90 minutes on Wednesday evening as Sogndal twice came from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw away to Moss in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen.
The 22-year-old midfielder made his 19th league appearance of the season, having contributed two goals so far in the campaign.
Sogndal arrived looking to avenge a defeat to Moss in the first meeting between the sides two months ago, but once again found themselves chasing the game after the hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute.
The visitors responded just before half-time, equalising in the 44th minute to head into the break on level terms.
Moss restored their advantage early in the second half and looked on course to complete another victory over Sogndal. However, the visitors refused to give in and found a second equaliser six minutes from time.
Veteran defender Even Hovland produced the decisive moment, unleashing a superb long-range strike from outside the penalty area that flew into the top corner to secure a valuable point for Sogndal.
The 2-2 draw ended an unusual run for Sogndal, who had not shared the points in a league match since 20 May. Since then, they had alternated between victories and defeats, recording four wins and six losses across their previous ten league fixtures.
Sogndal remain 11th in the Norwegian First Division standings with 22 points from 19 matches. Their next league fixture comes on Sunday, when they host Strømsgodset.
