Saliste says Levadia remain focused after Kuressaare win
Photo: Janek Eslon FCI Levadia continued their strong finish to the Premium liiga season with a 2-0 win at Kuressaare, having already secured the Estonian title. Left-back Joseph Saliste said the champions were not easing off in their remaining matches.
“We take every game seriously; there is no time for celebration yet,” Saliste told Soccernet TV. “We have a record to chase and want to give our maximum until the end of the season. We want to finish the campaign properly and be professionals.” Levadia are aiming to challenge the record for the largest points gap between the top two teams.
Saliste described the campaign as the best of his career, praising the team’s unity and the hard work put in since January. He also criticised the condition of Kuressaare’s pitch, calling it very soft and saying the ball bounced unpredictably. He added that Levadia were pleased to score the opening goal early.
