Latvian youth international Nikita Doroņins has signed a contract extension with LaLiga club Real Betis, keeping the 18-year-old striker in Seville until the summer of 2029.
Doroņins has been part of the Betis system since 2024, when he joined from the EF Huesca academy. He had spent a year there after moving to Spain from Rīgas Football School.
Last season, the Latvian forward featured regularly for Real Betis U19s in the Division de Honor Juvenil, making 24 appearances and scoring eight goals. He also gained European experience, featuring twice for Betis in the UEFA Youth League.
The club’s U19 side will again participate in the UEFA Youth League this season.
At international level, Doroņins has made 10 appearances for Latvia U17s, scoring two goals.
