Latvian international striker Marko Regža could be on the move before the transfer window closes, with Hungarian top-flight side Nyiregyhaza Spartacus reportedly interested in signing the 27-year-old on season-long loan with option to buy from Czech club Hradec Kralove.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Regža has emerged as a transfer target for the Hungarian outfit, while Hradec Kralove press spokesman Petr Šatalik confirmed to Czech outlet inFotbal that negotiations over the striker’s future are currently ongoing.
Regža joined Hradec Kralove at the start of 2026 following a prolific three-year spell with Riga FC, where he established himself as one of the most clinical forwards in Latvian football, scoring 61 goals across all competitions.
However, the move to the Czech top flight has not gone according to plan. The Latvian has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Hradec Kralove this year but is still searching for his first goal for the club.
If the transfer goes through, Regža would join a Nyiregyhaza Spartacus side that returned to Hungary’s top division two seasons ago after an eight-year absence. The club finished ninth in the 12-team league last season and has made a solid start to the current campaign, collecting two wins from its opening five matches to sit seventh in the standings.
The striker has earned 18 caps for the Latvian national team during his career. Before moving abroad, he represented SK Super Nova, BFC Daugavpils, RFS and Riga FC.
The Hungarian transfer window remains open until September 4.
