FC Kuressaare began the Premium liiga seventh round with a 1-0 away victory over Narva Trans, with goalkeeper Karl-Romet Nõmme central to the result.

Narva started on the front foot and won four corners inside the opening 14 minutes, but created little from them. Kuressaare then struck against the run of play just before the quarter-hour mark when Sten Patrick Prunni’s pass into the box was badly misjudged by Cristian Campagna, who stepped out of position and left space behind.

Andero Kivi made the mistake count, taking one touch to control before finishing with his second to put Kuressaare ahead. Narva almost responded immediately, but Josue Doke’s effort from around 10 metres struck Johann Vahermäe inside the six-yard area.

As the hosts pushed for an equaliser, Nõmme’s workload increased. He produced a notable double save from Doke, then in the 33rd minute denied Stanislav Agaptšev with an acrobatic stop near the top corner to preserve Kuressaare’s lead.
