FC Flora became the first side through to the Evald Tipner Cup final as they beat Narva Trans 1-0 in a low-chance semi-final.

Narva, who have been coming out of a dip in league form, set up in a compact and disciplined block and largely kept Flora at arm’s length before the break. They also carried a threat on the counter, with Ahmad Gero coming closest in the first half when his strike from near the centre circle crashed against the crossbar.

Flora’s pressure increased after half-time and the breakthrough arrived in the 67th minute from a set-piece. Following a corner, Sander Tovstik lifted the ball over goalkeeper Daniil Pareiko to settle the tie and secure Flora’s place in the final.

The second semi-final is played tomorrow, where Paide meet Pärnu Vaprus at 18:15 local time.
