Narva Trans will face Nõmme Kalju in the standout tie of the 2026-27 Estonian Cup last 16, while defending champions Flora could meet Esiliiga leaders Tartu JK Welco.
The draw, on 17 August, produced one guaranteed meeting between A. Le Coq Premium Liiga sides, with several other places still dependent on outstanding ties from the previous round.
Trans were drawn at home to Kalju less than two weeks after the teams met at the same venue in the league. Kalju won that match 2-0 on 8th August, with Mihhail Orlov and Rommi Siht scoring as Trans finished the game with 10 men.
The sides are currently at opposite ends of the Premium Liiga table. Kalju sit second with 44 points from 23 matches, while Trans are 10th with 17 points.
Holders Tallinna FC Flora, meanwhile, must first overcome JK Tallinna Kalev U21 before taking their place in the last 16. The winner of that tie will face Tartu JK Welco.
That could provide one of the more intriguing fixtures of the round. Welco currently lead the Esiliiga, having collected 48 points from 23 matches, and are seven points clear of second-placed Viimsi JK.
Flora are defending the trophy after beating Paide Linnameeskond 5-1 in the 2025-26 final in Pärnu in May. Sergei Zenjov scored twice in that victory as Flora lifted the Estonian Cup for the ninth time in their history.
There is also an all-Esiliiga tie already confirmed, with FC Elva hosting JK Tallinna Kalev. Elva currently sit fourth in the second tier, two points and one position above Kalev.
Viimsi, who are second in the Esiliiga, have been handed a trip to top-flight Tartu JK Tammeka. The Tartu side are fifth in the Premium Liiga and will enter the tie as the higher-ranked club, although Viimsi’s league form has made them one of the strongest second-tier sides remaining in the competition.
Pärnu JK Vaprus will travel to either FC Hiiumaa or FC Nõmme United. Should United advance, it would create another all-Premium Liiga encounter. Harju JK Laagri could also face their own U21 side, although the reserve team must first overcome FC Tallinn.
FC Kuressaare will meet the winner of Tallinna FC Olympic and Saku Sporting, while the final section of the draw remains dependent on two unfinished ties.
League leaders Tallinna FCI Levadia and last season’s cup runners-up Paide Linnameeskond are due to meet for one of those places. Whoever advances will then face either Keila JK or Tallinna FC Flora U19 in the last 16. Levadia currently lead the Premium Liiga with 53 points, with Paide fourth on 36.
The Estonian Football Association’s published calendar lists 25 and 26 August as the scheduled dates for the last-16 matches, although individual fixtures can be moved depending on the domestic calendar.
