Curro Torres has left his position as FK Liepāja head coach less than a month after taking charge of the Virslīga side.
Liepāja announced on Sunday that Torres had activated a clause in his contract allowing it to be bought out and will leave to join another club. His next destination has not yet been announced.
The former FCI Levadia head coach and Valencia and Spain defender only arrived in Liepāja at the end of August, making his debut in a 3-2 home victory over Riga FC on 31 August.
Torres leaves without suffering a league defeat. Liepāja followed the Riga victory with a 0-0 draw away to RFS, a 2-2 draw at Ogre United and another goalless draw against BFC Daugavpils, giving him one win and three draws from his four Virslīga matches in charge.
Only a week ago, Torres had spoken about using the international break for an extended period of work ahead of Liepāja’s final five league matches. The club currently sit fourth in the Virslīga and remain in the fight for European qualification.
