Yesterday, Latvian champions FC RFS have officially released their 2025 documentary “Cīņa par sapni. Maģiskā sezona” (Fight for the Dream. The Magical Season) to the public free of charge via YouTube.
The film, which previously premiered in cinemas and aired on Go3, offers a behind-the-scenes look at RFS’s remarkable 2024-2025 European campaign—culminating in a domestic double and participation in the UEFA Europa League main stage, where they drew with the likes of Galatasaray and Anderlecht, and won European powerhouse Ajax at home.
Told through emotional interviews, training ground footage, and intimate locker room access, the documentary charts the club’s rapid evolution from underdog to national powerhouse. While the Europa League run is covered only briefly, the film shines in its portrayal of team unity, fan culture, and the “family” mentality at the heart of the club’s recent success.
Notably, large portions of the film are in English, and subtitles are provided for segments in Latvian and other languages—making it accessible to a wider international audience.
Baltic Football News were at the premiere of the film back in February. Read our review at the time.
