Latvian national team striker Dario Šits, according to Sportacentrs.com, has suffered a meniscus injury that will require surgery.

The 21-year-old forward did not participate in the last match for his club, Helmond Sport. Initially, Dutch media reported that he missed the game for precautionary reasons. However, Sportacentrs.com now reveals that Šits sustained a meniscus injury that necessitates surgery.

This marks Dario’s second significant injury this season; he previously missed three months of action between November and February due to a foot fracture he sustained during a match against North Macedonia.

Currently on loan to the Dutch second division club Helmond Sport from Serie A side Parma Calcio, Dario has made 20 league appearances this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
