In the Albanian top league, Sigitas Olberkis and his team, AF Elbasani, played to a 1:1 draw against Vllaznia, extending their unbeaten streak to 11 games.
The Lithuanian defender, who joined the Albanian side during the winter after spending two seasons with FA Šiauliai, made his 15th appearance of the season in the Albanian top flight.
Olberkis played the entire match as they hosted the second-place team, Vllaznia. After Vllaznia took the lead at the start of the second half, Olberkis’ teammate, Amarildo Gjoni, equalized in the 80th minute, scoring his first goal of the season and securing a point for AF Elbasani.
Following this draw, AF Elbasani remains in 4th place in the league with 50 points, but they are tied on points with Partizani, who is currently in 5th place. In their next match, which will be the most important of the season, Olberkis and AF Elbasani will play an away game against Partizani next Sunday.
