Dāvis Ikaunieks brace seals the win for his DPMM in the Singapore Premier League

In the Singapore Premier League, Dāvis Ikaunieks scored two goals, leading his team, DPMM FC, to a 3-0 victory over Albirex Niigata.

The 31-year-old Latvian forward made his 13th consecutive start for DPMM FC. He opened the scoring in the 34th minute, receiving the ball at the edge of the penalty area and firing a first-time shot past the goalkeeper to give DPMM the lead.

Ikaunieks scored his second goal in the 61st minute by converting a penalty kick, marking his fifth league goal in nine games. In total, Ikaunieks has scored nine goals across all competitions for his Brunei club this season.

Following this victory, DPMM FC has accumulated 29 points after 27 league matches and is closing in on the teams ahead of it in the standings. In their next match, Ikaunieks and DPMM FC will play an away game against Geylang next Saturday.
