Lithuanian midfielder Linas Megelaitis and Rimini FC have secured their first-ever Coppa Italia Serie C title, defeating Giana Erminio 1-0 on aggregate.

The 26-year-old midfielder’s team won the first leg of the competition two weeks ago with a 1-0 victory against Giana Erminio. In today’s second leg, Megelaitis started as the game ended in a goalless draw. This result was sufficient for Rimini to claim the title on aggregate.

Megelaitis, who renewed his contract with Rimini FC until 2027 in January, played an entire game today.

With this victory, Rimini FC will compete in the main Coppa Italia tournament next season and has secured a spot in the third round of the Serie C promotion play-off.
