
Vladislavs Gutkovskis came on as a substitute for Daejeon during their match in the South Korean K League 1 this morning. The team’s 0:2 defeat against Jeonbuk ended its five-game unbeaten streak.
The Latvian forward, who turned 30 on April 2nd, started the match on the bench. He was brought onto the field in the 57th minute when Daejeon was trailing 1-0.
While Gutkovskis was on the pitch, Jeonbuk scored a second goal late in the game, sealing Daejeon’s defeat.
Gutkovskis has made six appearances in the K League 1 this season. Following this loss, Daejeon remains in the league standings with 16 points after eight games.
Gutkovskis and his team will play an away game against Seoul in their next match on Saturday.
