Lithuanian defender Domynikas Barauskas played the entire match in the Polish second division as his team Gornik Leczna secured an important 2-0 victory against Miedz Legnica.

The 27-year-old Lithuanian international made his return to the starting lineup after a one-game absence as his team took an early lead in the first half when Jakub Bednarczyk scored the opening goal.

In the 88th minute, Gornik Leczna extended their lead, scoring a second goal to secure a two-goal advantage and gain revenge for their earlier matchup in September, when Miedz Legnica defeated Leczna 2-1.

In his first season with Gornik Leczna, Barauskas has made 19 appearances in the Polish second tier. With 39 points after 26 games, his team is currently in 7th place in the league table. A top-six finish would guarantee a spot in the promotion play-off tournament. Currently, Wisla Krakow holds the 6th position with 40 points.

Leczna’s next league match will be on Tuesday when they host Kotwica Kolobrzeg.
