Cigaņiks involved as a substitute for the second consecutive game in a draw in Switzerland.

In the Swiss Super League the Latvian international Andrejs Cigaņiks came on the field at the start of the second half as his FC Luzern played a 1-1 draw against St. Gallen.

The 27-year-old Latvian defender started on the bench for the second consecutive game, with 21-year-old Swiss player Ruben Dantas taking his place in the starting lineup. Both goals of the match were scored within the first 10 minutes. Cigaņiks entered the game at the start of the second half, marking his 28th league appearance of the season.

Following this draw, Luzern fell to fourth place in the league standings with 48 points after 30 matches. Young Boys, with their victory over Servette, overtook Cigaņiks’ team. The league leaders, Basel, are four points ahead of Luzern.

FC Luzern’s next match will be an away game against Grasshoppers on Sunday.
