Lūkass Vapne made his official debut today in the Norwegian second division as Sogndal IL faced Start in their opening league match of the season, losing 1-2.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who moved to Norway during the winter transfer window, started the game and played 81 minutes. Sogndal took an early lead when Erik Flataker converted a penalty kick in the second minute. However, Start came back to score twice and secured the victory.

Lūkass’s next match for Sogndal will be on Saturday when they host Aalesund.

In the Romanian Super Liga, Aleksejs Saveļjevs remained an unused substitute as his Gloria Buzau suffered a 0-2 defeat against Otelul in the Relegation Group.

The 26-year-old midfielder has made only one appearance in the last four league games, and Gloria Buzau is currently at the bottom of the league table, six points behind Otelul and Farul Constanta, who occupy the positions that would allow them to avoid automatic relegation from the Romanian top flight.

Buzau’s next game will be on Sunday when they play an away match against FC Hermannstadt.
