The head coach of the Latvian national football team, Paolo Nicolato, has announced the squad for the March training camp. This camp marks the beginning of Latvia’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, which includes away matches against Andorra on March 21 and England on March 24.

The team will travel to Spain on Sunday, where they will train until March 20. They will arrive in Andorra the day before the match and will then head to London on March 22.

Twenty-four players have been invited to the March camp. Unfortunately, striker Roberts Uldriķis, who is recovering from a cruciate ligament tear, and team captain Kristers Tobers, who had a strong start in the Scottish Premiership, will not be part of the squad due to injuries.

There is one new addition to the team: 21-year-old center back Niks Sliede from FC RFS has received his first call-up to the national team. The 2-meter-tall defender has been a starting player for the defending league champions, FC RFS, since the season began.

Returning players include goalkeeper Roberts Ozols from FK Auda and defender Vjačeslavs Isajevs from FK Liepāja.
