Adamonis continues to perform in Serie B, Kazukolovas and Širvys teams get the wins

Various Lithuanian players participated in league games across Europe. Kazukolovas, Adamonis, and Širvys achieved victories with their teams in Kazakhstan, Italy, and Slovenia. Additionally, Lithuanian players made appearances in Japan, Armenia, Albania, and Poland.

Premier League, Kazakhstan

Lithuanian defender Kipras Kazukolovas has started in both league games for FC Astana in the Kazakhstan Premier League this season. Today, he helped his team secure a 2-0 victory against Kyzylzhar, maintaining a clean sheet.

The 24-year-old defender is beginning his second season with the Kazakh side and played the entire match today.

The Kazakhstan Premier League is now heading into an international break, with Kipras’s next league game scheduled for March 29, when they will host Zhetysu Taldykorgan.

Serie B, Italy

Marius Adamonis continues to perform well in the Italian Serie B. The goalkeeper helped his team, Sudtirol, achieve an impressive 5-1 away win against Cittadella. The 27-year-old made two out of three saves today and was close to earning his fourth clean sheet, as he conceded the only goal during the second additional minute of the second half.

Since Adamonis’s arrival, Sudtirol has turned around their fortunes, moving out of the relegation zone. This was his seventh game for the team, during which he has recorded four wins, two draws, and just one loss.

With this latest victory, Sudtirol climbed six places in a tightly contested Serie B table, accumulating 33 points after 29 games, placing them 11th in the league standings. Their next match will take place on Sunday when they host Carrarese.

Prva Liga, Slovenia

In the Slovenian Prva Liga, Pijus Širvys assisted Maribor in inching closer to the league leaders as they secured a 1-0 victory over their rivals, Olimpija Ljubljana, represented by Justas Lasickas.

The 26-year-old Pijus made his 23rd appearance today, scoring once and providing three assists this season. Meanwhile, Justas Lasickas has made 17 appearances this season. Both players played the full match, with the winning goal for Maribor scored by Algerian veteran El Arbi Soudani in the 77th minute.

J2 League, Japan

In the Japanese J2 League, Vykintas Slivka’s Sagan Tosu is still searching for their first win of the season after drawing 1-1 against Iwaki. Vykintas played the entire match, marking his fourth game this season, during which he has also scored once.

Sagan Tosu has one point after four games and is 19th out of 20 teams in the league table. Their next game will be against Omiya Ardija in the early hours of next Saturday.

Premier League, Armenia

Winger Matas Vareika came on as a substitute in Pyunik Yerevan’s heavy 0-3 defeat against Urartu. Vareika entered the match in the 62nd minute when the score was already 0-3. All three goals for Urartu were scored by Brazilian Bruno Michel in his second game for the club.

This was Vareika’s third league appearance in Armenia since joining from FC Hegelmann. Following this defeat, Pyunik remained in third place with 40 points, while Urartu pulled four points ahead of them. The league leader Noah have 46 points with two games in hand.

JPL, Belgium

Edgaras Utkus was an unused substitute in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League today, as his team, Cercle Brugge, lost 1-3 to Club Brugge.

Club Brugge laid the foundation for their win by scoring three goals in a span of ten minutes during the first half. The 24-year-old center-back has made 17 league appearances this season, and Cercle Brugge is currently 13th in the league table with 32 points. They are navigating between the relegation and Conference League groups, with one game remaining in the main stage.

Second Division, Albania

Manfredas Ružgis once again found the net in the Albanian second division, scoring for FK Vora. However, they could not hold on to their lead and ended up drawing 1-1 against Apolonia Fier.

The 28-year-old forward scored in the 8th minute of the match, marking his 22nd goal of the season—the highest in the second division. Vora has almost guaranteed promotion to the Albanian top-flight, currently sitting at the top of the league with 67 points after 27 games.

I Liga, Poland

Lithuanian defender Dominykas Barauskas played 87 minutes in the Polish second tier as his team, Leczna, lost 0-1 away to Wisla.

Dominykas has made 18 appearances for the club this season. Leczna is currently 10th in the league table with 33 points, in a comfortable position to avoid relegation but still with a chance to compete for promotion.
