Miloslav Brožek becomes the new sporting director for FS Jelgava

FS Jelgava has announced the appointment of Czech specialist Miloslav Brožek as the new sporting director for the team.

The 50-year-old Brožek brings over 30 years of experience in various football roles, having worked as a player, coach, manager, scout, business developer, sports director, and board member. According to a statement from FS Jelgava, his leadership style emphasizes mentoring, accountability, analytics, and setting clear goals.

As a professional footballer, Brožek played in the Czech Republic, Belgium, Indonesia, and Austria, acquiring valuable insights from different football systems and cultures.

In his coaching career, Brožek has managed over 350 professional league matches and 300 games in various tournaments and competitions. He has significantly contributed to the development of young talents, preparing 10 players for the Czech national team and 8 of them for the international stage.

This season, FS Jelgava has already signed four Czech players: goalkeeper Adam Dvořák, defender Andriy Yuzvak, and midfielders David Holoubek and Ondřej Ullman. The club has a history of successful signings from the Czech league; two seasons ago, forward Victor Osuagwu scored nine goals while on loan from Sparta Prague, and last season, Joseph Ede Oloko from Taborsko netted 11 goals in 26 league games before transferring to FK Liepāja.

FS Jelgava will begin their new Virslīga season tomorrow with an away game against FK Grobiņa.
