In the early hours of Saturday in the Japanese J2 League, Lithuanian national team member Vykintas Slivka scored his first goal of the season. His team Sagan Tosu suffered their third consecutive league defeat to start the season.

The 29-year-old Slivka started his third straight game. The Lithuanian missed the penalty kick in the previous match, which Sagan Tosu lost to Jubilo Iwata. This time, they hosted FC Imabari.

Sagan Tosu began the match poorly, conceding three goals in the first half.

In the 77th minute, Sagan Tosu executed a long throw-in to the opposition’s penalty box. The ball bounced, reaching Slivka, who reacted quickly and took a close-range shot. He scored his first goal of the season, making the score 1-3.

However, just six minutes later, Imabari scored their fourth goal, leaving Slivka and Sagan Tosu with no points after their first three league games.

Sagan Tosu’s next match will be an away game against Iwaki on Sunday.
