The Latvian Football Federation’s (LFF) Club Licensing First Instance Council confirmed that all seven applicants have received licenses to participate in the 2025 “LuckyBet” Women’s Football League.

All seven applicants fully met the license issuance criteria, so in the 2025 season Rīgas Futbola skola, Riga FC, FK Auda, FS Metta, RFS, FK Iecava, and Liepājas Futbola skola will all participate in the highest division.

This means that the tournament has now shrunk from eight to seven teams, following the unification of FK Iecava and FK Olaine.

The tournament will kick off in the second half of March and will last until November, with every team facing each other four times as Riga FC Women will look to defend their title.
