24-year-old center forward Ingars Pūlis is set to restart his football career with FK Tukums, aiming to rediscover his form and make a significant impact in the upcoming Virslīga season.
A product of the Valmiera football academy, Pūlis made his Virslīga debut in 2018. However, his first full season in the top flight came in 2022 when he went on loan to FK Metta. During his time at Metta, Pūlis showcased his potential as a capable Virslīga-level player, featuring in 35 matches and scoring 5 goals.
Following his successful loan stint, Pūlis returned to Valmiera FC for the 2023 season, where he continued to contribute, making 21 appearances and netting 3 goals. Despite his efforts, the 2024 season proved challenging, with limited opportunities at the top level. He played just 2 matches in Virslīga, spending most of his time with Valmiera FC’s reserve team in the Nākotnes Līga, where he found his scoring touch again, recording 11 goals.
Now, Pūlis joins FK Tukums with a renewed sense of purpose, looking to regain his confidence and goal-scoring form. His addition strengthens the attacking options for FK Tukums as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
FK Tukums will begin their 2025 Virslīga season on March 7 with an away fixture against BFC Daugavpils.
