Riga FC have added former Bosnia and Herzegovina international goalkeeper Kenan Piric to their UEFA Conference League squad, with last season’s first-choice goalkeeper Krišjānis Zviedris not registered for the competition.

The 32-year-old Piric, who has earned eight caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina, most recently played for Azerbaijani side Neftci PFK. Last season, he made 28 league appearances, keeping ten clean sheets.

Piric has previously played in the Turkish top flight for Antalyaspor and Goztepe, while his career has also included spells with AEK Larnaca in Cyprus, Greek top-flight side Atromitos, Slovenian giants Maribor and clubs in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The goalkeeper also has experience in European competition. During the 2022/23 season with AEK Larnaca, Piric made six appearances in the Europa League group stage and a further four in the Conference League knockout rounds. AEK Larnaca were eliminated by eventual winners West Ham United in the round of 16, losing 0-6 on aggregate.

Piric has made eight appearances for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, with his most recent international outing coming in June 2024, when he played in a friendly against Italy. His last national-team call-up came in September of the same year.
