Serbian winger Dragoljub Savič has left the Latvian champions RFS and joined Serbian first-division side TSC Backa Topola, who next week will face off against Jagiellonia Bialystok in the UEFA Conference League play-offs.
The 23-year-old Serbian winger joined RFS in the summer of 2023 from Austrian side Rapid Vienna and immediately made an impact by scoring two and assisting four times in his first six appearances for the club.
However, in the 2024 season, Savič could not convince head coach Viktors Morozs anymore, as throughout the whole season he made the starting XI only 13 times across all competitions, mostly appearing for RFS-2 games.
During his time at the club, Savič made 39 appearances for RFS, scoring six times and assisting to six goals; he also leaves having won the Virsliga twice as well as the Latvian Cup and the Livonian Cup in 2024.
Savič has now joined Serbian side TSC Backa Topola, who finished 3rd in the Serbian highest division last season, later also securing a place in the UEFA Conference League. TSC managed to beat Swiss side Lugano (4:1) and Armenian vice-champions FC Noah (4:3) thus finishing 24th in the league phase and advancing to the play-offs. There they’ll face Polish champions Jagiellonia Bialystok in a two-legged tie.
