According to our sources, FK Liepāja has sent two foreign players on loan to clubs in Lithuania. 21-year-old Amar Haidara will join FK Sūduva, while Nikoloz Chikovani will play for DFK Dainava.
Amar Haidara, an attacking midfielder from Mauritania, joined FK Liepāja last summer from Diambars FC before being loaned to FS Jelgava. However, his stint at Jelgava was brief, as he earned a red card in his debut match after coming on as a substitute and did not return to the field for the remainder of the season. According to our information, issues with documentation contributed to his limited appearances.
Nikoloz Chikovani, 19-year-old full-back from Georgia, joined FK Liepāja last summer from Georgian second-division club Sioni Bolnisi. During his time in the Latvian Virslīga, Chikovani made just three appearances for the team.
Both players remain under contract with FK Liepāja but will now look to prove themselves in Lithuania’s A Lyga.
