FK Grobiņa has announced that it will continue its partnership with two of its young prospects, Ralfs Bethers and Gustavs Leitāns, for the 2025 season. Both players, aged 17, have already gained experience in the Latvian top flight
Leitāns made his Virslīga debut last season in the 35th round against RFS, playing 14 minutes. His performances earned him recognition at the international level, resulting in a call-up to the Latvian U19 national team. For the U19s, Leitāns featured in matches against Estonia and Lithuania, playing 4 and 26 minutes, respectively.
Bethers also saw action in the Virslīga last year, debuting against Riga FC and appearing again in an away match against BFC Daugavpils. Across the two games, he played 16 and 19 minutes.
In addition to training and playing with Grobiņa, both Bethers and Leitāns contributed to the Liepājas FS U18 team, being key players of the team.
