Japanese side Sagan Tosu has announced that the Lithuanian midfielder Vykintas Slivka will return to the team for one more season.

The 29-year-old joined the J1 League team Sagan Tosu in the summer of 2024 after spending two seasons with PAS Lamia in Greece. During his six months with the team, Slivka made 14 appearances and scored two goals. Unfortunately, Sagan Tosu finished the season in last place, resulting in their relegation to the J2 League.

After re-signing, Slivka gave a comment to Sagan Tosu communication department: “I’m happy to continue to wear the Sagan Tosu shirt. Let’s work together to return to the J1 League this season.”

Slivka has made 70 appearances for the Lithuanian National team and has played professional football in various countries. He began his career by honing his skills at the academies of Juventus and Modena in Italy. Throughout his career, he has also played for ND Gorica in Slovenia, FC Den Bosch in the Netherlands, Hibernians in Scotland, and Apollon Smyrnis and PAS Lamia in Greece.
