Titas Krapikas helps his team end a four game losing streak

Two Serie C clubs with Lithuanian players competed earlier today. Goalkeeper Titas Krapikas helped Taranto end a four-game losing streak, while Linas Megelaitis’s played a goalless draw for Rimini against one of the league’s top teams.

Titas Krapikas, a 26-year-old goalkeeper, played for ACR Messina, where he contributed to their 1-0 victory over Taranto, thus ending a string of losses. This season marks Krapikas’s first with Messina, the goalkeeper having made 16 Serie C appearances, conceding 26 goals and keeping five clean sheets. Messina currently stand at 19 points in 22 games and are positioned 18th out of 20 teams.

Meanwhile, Linas Megelaitis (26) played the entire match for the third consecutive time as his team Rimini were held to a goalless draw against Pescara. Megelaitis, who is in his second season with Rimini, played 21 league matches this season, providing one assist but scoring no goals. Rimini currently find themselves in the 7th place with 30 points.
