FK Liepāja is poised for a change in direction after sources confirmed that both Maciej Stachowiak and Ivan Djurdjevic will not continue their roles at the Latvian football club. Both individuals played key roles in improving the club’s performance on the field.

Despite Djurdjevic holding the official position of Sporting Director, he had an influential presence on the coaching side, offering tactical advice during matches and actively contributing to organizing the training process. It was clear from the start that his impact extended far beyond his role as a sporting director, with many noting his involvement in shaping the team’s overall approach. Stachowiak, who was the Assistant Manager, worked alongside Djurdjevic to bring structure and improvement to FK Liepāja’s play.

When Stachowiak and Djurdjevic arrived at the club, FK Liepāja’s performances started to show signs of progress, with the team playing better football and becoming more organized. Fans and pundits alike began to take notice of the positive changes in the team’s style and results. However, despite these improvements, sources close to the club have confirmed that both Stachowiak and Djurdjevic will depart. The reasons behind their departure remain undisclosed, but it’s understood that the club is now looking to move forward with a new coaching staff to continue the work they started.

In light of these changes, FK Liepāja has revealed the new coaching team that will take over the responsibilities of leading the squad. The new manager is Dino Skender (41, Croatia), previously with NK Široki Brijeg. He will be supported by Jānis Goba (37, Latvia) and Goran Rosanda (36, Croatia) as assistant managers. Andrejs Piedels (54, Latvia), formerly with Riga FC, will take on the role of goalkeeping coach, while Michel Huff (49, Brazil), remains as conditioning coach. Ivans Visockis (31, Latvia), formerly with Riga FC, will serve as the club’s new chief scout. Previous head coach Tamaz Pertia will not be in the club’s coaching staff, the team will also not have a sporting director.
