Eight players depart from Kalev

JK Tallinna Kalev, who rescued survival in the Premium Liiga via promotion/relegation play offs, have announced the departures of eight players on social media.

Kalev express gratitude to Aaro Toivonen, Joosep Põder, Kaspar Laur, Marek Kaljumäe, Oskari Jussi Forsman, Sander Sinilaid, Stanislav Baranov and Taijo Teniste in their press release.

Toivonen and Baranov both joined the club on loan from Finnish side HJK. Toivonen played in 15 games across all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting one, as his fellow countryman Baranov played in 16 matches, scoring 5 and assisting another.

Kaspar Laur departs the Kadriorg based side after seven seasons, altogether amassing 190 matches for the senior side, finding the net on 12 occasions.

Marek Kaljumäe finished his second stint at the club, stretching over three seasons. In that time, he recorded 101 appearances, scoring 5 goals.

Finnish veteran shot stopper Oskari Jussi Forsman joined the club in 2023, having a massive role in the club’s first finish in the European spots. He recorded 74 games, getting 10 clean sheets.

Midfielder Sander Sinilaid spent two seasons at the club, amassing 66 games, scoring three goals and assisting one.

Former Estonian national team member Taijo Teniste joined the club on loan in the summer of 2024 from Esiliiga team Tartu Welco, playing in 15 games for the club.

The club has previously announced the departures of Ragnar Klavan, and Tristan Toomas Teeväli.
