Midfielder Tristan Toomas Teeväli has made a club switch within Tallinn, again joining FC Flora from JK Tallinna Kalev.

The 21-year-old Teeväli grew up training at Kalev and played a pivotal role in the team’s historic achievement of winning a bronze medal in 2023. While with the Kalev first team, he made 126 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing four assists. Teeväli has also represented various Estonian youth national teams and has scored three goals in 13 matches for the U-21 national team.

Kalev Sports Director Joel Lindpere commented on the transfer: “Tristan started his journey at Kalev, working his way up through the youth ranks to the senior team. He is a great example of how hard work and discipline can make anything possible! Tristan is joining Flora for the second time. Since his last stint with us, he has made significant progress, and we hope he will succeed there again.”

Teeväli first joined FC Flora in the summer of 2020 but did not have the opportunity to play for the club’s first team. In 2022, he was loaned out, spending the first half of the season with Kuressaare and the latter half with Kalev. He played the entire 2023 season on loan at Kalev, after which the club acquired his player rights.

In the recent season, Teeväli made 31 league appearances for Kalev, scoring five goals and providing two assists. He expressed his excitement about joining FC Flora and stated, “I am delighted to join FC Flora! This is a great environment to prove myself and earn playing time. I want to represent the club with dignity on and off the field. We aim to compete for the championship title next season as a team. I want to play as much as possible and demonstrate my abilities in every way.”

Reflecting on his time at Kalev, he added, “I played for Kalev for eight years, and the club is very close to my heart. When I told my teammates about the opportunity to move to FC Flora and test myself there, they understood.”
