Latvian football champions FC RFS have confirmed the departure of Luka Silagadze following the expiration of his contract. The club expressed gratitude for the Georgian midfielder’s contributions during his brief but impactful stint and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Silagadze joined RFS in July 2024 from FK Liepāja and quickly made his mark. Over 17 appearances across domestic competitions and European tournaments, he registered one goal and one assist. His most memorable moment came during the UEFA Europa League match against Anderlecht, where his precise cross forced an own goal.

Before his move to RFS, Silagadze had spells with Liepāja, Valmiera, and Saburtalo in Georgia. At RFS, he featured in 9 Virslīga matches, scoring once and providing a single assist. He also appeared in European qualifiers, adding vital continental experience to his resume.

Now a free agent, Silagadze leaves RFS as a Latvian champion and cup winner, reflecting his influence on a successful squad. The 25-year-old, who has 11 caps for Georgia’s U21 team, remains a sought-after talent. RFS Statement:
“Thank you, champion! Luka played a key role in a magical season, and we wish him the best in his future career.”
