Playmaker Beglarishvili leaves Narva due to family reason

Narva Trans has announced that attacking midfielder Zakaria Beglarishvili is leaving the club. The Premium Liiga veteran, who joined Trans before the 2024 season, made 35 league appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists [best in the league]. His contributions helped Narva finish in 6th place.

Two months ago, after one of the Premium Liiga games, the 34-year-old Georgian told the media that he intended to stay with Trans for the next season. However, shortly after, he changed his mind, citing family reasons, according to Narva Trans’s social media post.

Zakaria first came to Estonia in 2010 when he joined FC Flora, where he played for eight seasons. He then had brief stints in Hungary and Finland before returning to Estonia to play for Levadia, a rival of Flora. Over his career in the Premium Liiga, he has made 343 appearances, scored 146 goals, and provided 132 assists.

In other news, Narva Trans announced that they have signed a contract extension with 29-year-old defender Aleksandr Ivanyushin. Last season, Ivanyushin played in all 36 games for the team, becoming the leader in minutes played for Narva.

After the contract extension, Ivanyushin expressed his gratitude: “I thank the Narva Trans management and our incredible fans for their trust and support! Next season, we will do our best to delight you with beautiful play, scoring goals, and fighting for the top positions in the table!”
