Latvia forward Dario Šits has joined Dordrecht permanently after the Dutch second-tier club bought his contract from Parma. Dordrecht have extended the 22-year-old’s deal until 2028.
Šits has scored once and provided two assists in his first five appearances for the club this season. He spent last season with Atlético Madrid’s reserve side in Spain’s third tier, making 20 appearances after injury and health problems limited his involvement.
Before that, Šits scored six goals and set up three in 20 matches on loan at Helmond. He also had a loan spell at SPAL, where he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in September 2023. The Latvia international has scored twice in 12 senior appearances. Dordrecht finished 10th last season and are 17th after eight rounds this term.
